Sludge Removal/Waste Disposal at Tyler State Park

Background
The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) is soliciting bids for sludge removal and waste disposal services at Tyler State Park, located at 789 Park Road 16, Tyler, Texas 75706. The goal of this contract is to ensure proper disposal of sludge and waste materials in compliance with environmental regulations. This solicitation is in accordance with the scope of work and terms dated July 2024.

Work Details
The contractor will provide the following services:
1. Price per gallon for sludge removal, estimated at 20,000 gallons throughout the year, including labor and equipment.
2. Transport fee for disposing of wet sludge (if not included).
3. Disposal fee for sludge (if not included).
4. Removal and disposal of wet sludge from the wastewater plant digester.
5. Removal and disposal of grit from ten lift stations.
6. All materials must be disposed of at a certified Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) disposal site, with documented evidence required in the bid proposal.
7. Compliance with all TCEQ regulations regarding transportation, handling, and disposal of treatment plant sludge is mandatory.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on September 1, 2024, or upon date of award, whichever is later, and will continue through August 31, 2026. The contract may be renewed for up to two additional one-year periods based on mutual agreement.
