Rfq730-25006 Architecture And Engineering Services For Student Center North Expansion At The University Of Houston Main Campus

Background
The University of Houston System is seeking qualifications from architectural and engineering firms to provide professional services for the construction and renovation of the Student Center North Expansion at the University of Houston Main Campus.

The goal is to design a two-story expansion that will include various student service suites, enhancing the campus facilities and services available to students.

Work Details
The project involves providing architecture and engineering services for a two-story expansion approximately 35,000 square feet in size. Services include programming, building design/engineering, AV/IT/Security design, furniture, furnishings and equipment design, graphics and wayfinding design, LEED Certification, and construction administration services.

The construction must adhere to high-quality standards with materials that align with existing campus buildings. Compliance with the Owner’s Master Construction Specifications and Campus Design Guidelines is also required.

Period of Performance
The preliminary timeline for the project includes a design start in April 2025, construction start in June 2026, substantial completion by November 2027, and final completion by December 2027.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the University of Houston Main Campus located in Houston, Texas.
