RFQ 24-0815 Physician Consultant Services

Background
The Board of Trustees for Laredo College District is seeking a qualified physician to provide Physician Consultant Services aimed at developing the Health Services Department.

The College's mission is to ensure the health and safety of its students through professional medical guidance.

Work Details
The selected physician consultant will be a licensed physician practicing in Texas, contracted on a yearly basis to provide guidance and direction to the College’s Health Services Department.

Responsibilities include:
- Acting as a liaison between the college and health agencies
- Monitoring and consulting with the Health Services Department
- Offering medical advice regarding student welfare
- Providing nursing staff with an updated Health Practice and Procedures Manual
- Overseeing public health concerns
- Assisting in nursing staff development programs
- Advising on medical vaccination exemption requests
- Providing consultative services in health education and emergency treatment procedures.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed on a yearly basis, starting from the date of contract execution.

Place of Performance
Services will be provided at both campuses of Laredo College located in Laredo, Texas.
