RFB 6497 - Overhead Door Repair for CCFD

Background
The City of Corpus Christi is issuing a Request for Bids (RFB No. 6497) for Overhead Door Repairs specifically for the Fire Department. The purpose of this contract is to ensure that all overhead doors at various fire stations and warehouses are maintained and repaired effectively, aligning with the City’s commitment to public safety and operational efficiency.

Work Details
The Contractor will provide maintenance and repair services for overhead doors at all Fire Stations and the Warehouse located throughout the City. Key responsibilities include:

- Responding to work order requests from the Fire Department within 30 minutes.
- Arriving on-site within two hours of a call.
- Conducting repairs on mechanical and electrical components, including but not limited to capacitors, motors, springs, cables, rollers, and lubrication of parts.
- Using Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts only.
- Providing detailed repair estimates prior to commencing work.
- Documenting all repairs with a copy of the work order provided to on-site personnel upon completion.
- Ensuring that all personnel assigned to work under this agreement have passed background checks at the Contractor's expense.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon execution by the City and issuance of a notice to proceed, lasting one year with two optional one-year extensions.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations including Fire Stations across Corpus Christi, Texas.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have operated continuously for a minimum of three years in providing similar services. They must not have any outstanding lawsuits or regulatory issues affecting their ability to perform the work. Additionally, bidders must submit proof of experience, references from current and former clients, and comply with ethical behavior standards as outlined in the RFB.
