RFB 25-002 Parks Maintenance Contract

Background
Tom Green County, Texas is issuing this Request for Bid (RFB) 25-002 to solicit bids from prospective vendors for parks maintenance services.
The goal of this contract is to ensure the upkeep and maintenance of all parks and five cemeteries located within Tom Green County, enhancing the quality of public spaces for community use.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive parks maintenance services including:
- **Location**: All Tom Green County Parks & five listed cemeteries.
- **Work Schedule**: A 5-day workweek contract with at least one weekend day included.
- **Trash/Litter Removal Services**: Minimum twice weekly litter pickup on Fridays and Mondays, with additional pickups during three-day weekends and holidays.
The contractor will supply trash bags and provide on-call service within 24 hours for additional litter pickup as needed.
- **Vegetation Control**: Weekly mowing from March 15 to November 15, bi-monthly from November 16 to March 14, weed control in planting beds, tree trimming according to industry standards, and removal of debris.
- **Miscellaneous Items**: Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms weekly, evaluating playgrounds for safety, storm cleanup services charged hourly, and reporting vandalism.
- **Equipment Provided by Contractor**: Includes a tractor with rotary cutter, zero-turn mowers, weed eaters, chainsaws, skid steer, dump/trash trailer among others.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on February 1, 2025, and continue until January 31, 2026.
There is an option for four one-year renewals subject to mutual consent and approval by Tom Green County’s Commissioner’s Court.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations throughout Tom Green County including designated parks and cemeteries.
