Pipette Calibration System

Background
The Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is an agency within the Texas Health and Human Services system, responsible for overseeing the planning and delivery of health and human services in Texas.

The Procurement and Contracting Services (PCS) division of HHSC is seeking competitive bids to establish contracts for a Pipette Calibration System. This system is essential for verifying and calibrating pipettes to ensure accurate testing of patient materials in state hospitals and supported living centers.

Work Details
The contract requires the provision of a pipette calibration system that meets specific performance specifications:
1) High signal-to-noise ratio for accuracy at low volume measurements (100 nL);
2) User-friendly operation with minimal steps;
3) Economical operation with a broad dynamic range;
4) Fast calibration process capable of completing a 10-data-point calibration in under 3 minutes;
5) Built-in scanner for recalling pipette history;
6) Comprehensive documentation and data management compliant with regulatory standards (21 CFR Part 11);
7) Calibration method compliant with ISO 8655-7.

Vendors must provide literature if offering alternatives to specified brands, as failure to do so may lead to disqualification.

Period of Performance
The anticipated contract start date is March 13, 2025, following the response deadline on March 12, 2025.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at state hospitals and state-supported living centers in Texas.
