Description

Workforce Solutions Cameron (WFS Cameron) is soliciting proposals from qualified and eligible independent organizations for the operation and management of Direct Child Care Services (CCS) in Cameron County. The CCS program is a vital part of workforce services that assist eligible families to work or increase their educational abilities. The CCS program subsidizes child care for low-income families, promoting long-term self-sufficiency by enabling parents to work and/or attend workforce training or education activities.

It is WFS Cameron's intent to contract with an entity that will strive to:

Provide efficient and effective management and operation of CCS

Provide quality customer services

Meet or exceed performance expectations

Maximize all available resources

Provide Consumer Education

Minimize operational costs

Background
Workforce Solutions Cameron (WFS Cameron) is the governing body for the Cameron County Workforce Development Board Area, established to provide employment and training services. The Child Care Services (CCS) program is a crucial component of WFS Cameron's workforce services, designed to assist low-income families by subsidizing child care. This support enables parents to work or pursue education and training opportunities.

Work Details
The selected contractor will be responsible for the operation and management of Direct Child Care Services (CCS) in Cameron County. Key responsibilities include:
