Background
The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) Food and Nutrition (F&N) Division is seeking proposals from multiple qualified vendors to ensure a broad availability of leadership training courses and executive coaching. TDA may request additional courses within the realm of leadership training based on current needs within the division.
TDA seeks to enhance its leadership capabilities and decision-making processes through specialized training and executive coaching, aiming to effectively navigate the complexities of rigorous program management and to adapt to evolving industry challenges. This initiative is crucial for fostering innovative, strategic leadership that aligns with the dynamic needs of Texas’ agricultural sector.

Work Details
TDA F&N wants vendors to propose a minimum of seven leadership courses, three of which must align with specific criteria. Vendors must show how well their training courses apply to the audience and show creative methods of teaching the courses. Vendor training style must consider DISC methods (Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Conscientiousness) and/or Maxwell DISC Leadership.
TDA may award multiple contracts and choose from the list of proposed courses by the vendor. The goal is to obtain a variety of training courses from multiple qualified vendors to ensure broad availability and scheduling flexibility.
Vendors shall propose a course list in the realm of leadership training and executive coaching, including mandatory courses such as Crucial Conversations, Emotional Intelligence, Executive Presence, among others.
The deliverables include providing engaging and effective training courses, maintaining certifications, supplying all necessary materials for each training session designed to be comprehensive and relevant to the course content, tailoring training content and approach to meet the specific needs of various audience levels, ensuring all training and coaching sessions are scheduled and conducted within agreed-upon timelines, offering necessary follow-up and support to ensure the training’s effectiveness, bringing their own laptop for presentations, conducting in-person or online training at TDA’s headquarters in Austin, TX.

Period of Performance
The initial contract term shall commence on the Effective Date and continue through August 31, 2025. The Contract may be renewed for up to three additional one-year periods. TDA may exercise an option to renew upon thirty calendar days’ prior written notice to Contractor.

Place of Performance
In-person training will be conducted at TDA’s headquarters in Austin, TX; online training delivery will also be required.
