Language Interpretation Services

Background
The City of Austin is seeking qualified contractors to provide language interpretation services for various city departments. This initiative aims to enhance communication and accessibility for non-English speaking residents and those requiring assistance in understanding city services.

Work Details
Contractors will provide language interpretation services on an as-needed basis, which includes:

1. In-Person Language Interpretation;
2. Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI);
3. Video Remote Interpreting (VRI).

Contractors must demonstrate qualifications, including proof of professional training, certifications, and relevant experience in providing these services. Specific requirements include:

- For In-Person services: Completion of Attachment A and proof of ethical standards training.
- For OPI: Completion of Attachment B and at least five years of experience.
- For VRI: Completion of Attachment C and at least five years of experience.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon execution and will continue until all obligations are fulfilled, with options for extension as specified by the City.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed within the City of Austin, Texas.
