Killeen RC HVAC Replacements

Background
The Texas Military Department is seeking competitive bids for the replacement of HVAC systems at the Killeen RC located at 3101 South W. S. Young Dr., Killeen TX 76542.

The mission of the Texas Military Department includes ensuring the readiness and effectiveness of military forces. This contract aims to enhance the operational environment by upgrading essential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, materials, and rental equipment necessary to replace three (3) 4-ton natural gas split HVAC systems and two (2) 2-ton natural gas split HVAC systems. Each system will include a condenser and filter base. Additionally, all copper lines, drainage lines, and exhaust vents will be replaced.

The specifications for the replacement equipment include:
- 2-ton and 4-ton units must be 80% or better natural gas furnaces with equivalent or better BTU heating output rates than existing units.
- Each unit must have a two (2) inch filter base with twelve (12) pleated filters (totaling forty-eight).
- A cooling system with a minimum SEER rating of 16.
- Metal plenum/transition that is fully insulated.
- Floor transitions made of metal.

Period of Performance
The initial contract term is effective from the date stated in the notice of award and will expire one (1) year from that effective date.
