HVAC Mechanical System Replacement Project, Spring Branch Campus

Background
The Houston Community College (HCC) is seeking competitive sealed bids from qualified contractors for the HVAC Mechanical System Replacement Project at the Spring Branch Campus. HCC's mission is to serve its diverse community by providing educational opportunities that prepare students to compete in a technological and international society.

The college operates nineteen campuses and serves over 85,000 students, playing a vital role in enhancing the economic outcomes of its community.

Work Details
The project involves the replacement of the HVAC mechanical system, including coordination with the existing building automation system (BAS) controls (Ecostruxure). The work will affect 36,640 square feet of building structural cooling area and includes:
- Mechanical equipment removal
- Installation of new mechanical equipment
- Mechanical controls integration (BAS)
- Electrical work
- Plumbing work
- Compliance with all relevant specifications and obtaining necessary permits.

The contractor must also manage factory start-up and commissioning of the installation. Additionally, the contractor is responsible for removing and properly disposing of existing HVAC equipment and recyclable metals according to federal, state, and local regulations.

Period of Performance
The contract duration will commence upon Notice to Proceed and is expected to be completed within a specified number of calendar days as outlined in the bid submission.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at HCC’s Spring Branch Campus, specifically at the Performing Arts Center located at 1060 West Sam Houston Parkway, Houston, TX 77043.
