Guard Services for EDC Business Park

Background
The City of Port Arthur, Texas, is seeking bids for guard services at the Economic Development Business Park. The purpose of this contract is to ensure the security and safety of the facilities and equipment within the park, aligning with the city's mission to promote economic development and community safety.

Work Details
The successful bidder will provide comprehensive security services including:

1. Securing, monitoring, and safeguarding the Economic Development Business Park facilities and equipment.

2. Work schedule:
- Weekdays (Monday - Friday): 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Weekends (Saturday - Sunday): 24 hours per day starting at 6:00 a.m.
- Holidays: 24 hours per day starting at 6:00 a.m. on specified holidays.

3. Guard qualifications include:
- Supervisors must have at least three years of experience as a security guard.
- Guards must possess a high school diploma or equivalent experience.
- All guards must be at least 18 years old, U.S. citizens or legally registered aliens, and not have felony convictions.

4. Uniforms will be provided by the contractor, which must maintain high grooming standards for guards.

5. Guards are required to patrol approximately 7-10 miles around the property, report incidents, maintain logs of suspicious activities, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon execution and will last for approximately one year with options to renew for two additional one-year periods.

The services will be performed at the Economic Development Business Park located at 9555 West Port Arthur Road, Port Arthur, Texas.
