Goodnight Ranch Ph 2 (Pt. 2) & Old Lockhart Apts Water Lines

Background
The City of Austin, through its Austin Water Utility, is issuing this solicitation for the Goodnight Ranch Phase 2 (Part 2) and Old Lockhart Apartments Waterline Improvements project.

The project aims to enhance water infrastructure in the area by installing approximately 2,400 feet of 16-inch water main along Old Lockhart Road, east of Ruby Hills Road. This initiative is part of the City’s commitment to improving water services and ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Work Details
The contract involves the installation of approximately 2,400 feet of 16-inch water main.

The work will include excavation, installation of pipes, backfilling, and restoration of disturbed areas. Specific tasks include:
- Excavation for trenching along Old Lockhart Road
- Installation of 16-inch diameter ductile iron pipe
- Connection to existing water mains
- Testing and disinfection of new water lines
- Restoration of pavement and landscaping affected by construction activities.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to be completed by February 3, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed along Old Lockhart Road in Austin, Texas.
