Generator Installation

Background
The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) is undertaking a construction project to replace an emergency generator and automatic transfer switches (ATS) at the Michael Unit. The goal of this contract is to procure a new generator with a transfer switch to ensure reliable power supply for critical operations within the facility.

Work Details
The contractor will provide the following:

1. One (1) emergency generator rated at 130kW, 480/277VAC, 3PH, 60Hz, with weatherproof housing, to be installed at Utility Station #10 /13 Bldg.

2. Two (2) automatic transfer switches: ATS-13 rated at 300A and ATS-1 rated at 100A, both to be installed in designated electrical rooms.

3. One (1) docking station rated at 400A, to be installed as specified.

The contractor will also remove existing equipment: the current emergency generator and two automatic transfer switches located in the respective buildings. Installation must comply with all specifications and may require extending concrete pads as necessary for the new generator.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon award and must adhere to a project schedule that includes significant milestones for delivery and installation, with specific timelines outlined in the bid documents.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Michael Unit located in Texas.
