Description

The Environmental Affairs Department is requesting a qualified/licensed service provider to pick up, remove, transport, manage, recycle or dispose of non-hazardous and/or hazardous waste and provide environmental field services as needed.
Background
The Port of Houston Authority, an independent political subdivision of the State of Texas, is seeking proposals from qualified service providers to manage and properly recycle or dispose of non-hazardous and hazardous waste generated through its maintenance, operation, and other terminal activities.

The goal is to ensure compliance with environmental regulations while providing necessary environmental field services. This contract aims to support the Port Authority's mission to maintain operational efficiency and environmental stewardship across its facilities located in Harris County, Texas.

Work Details
The selected service provider will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. Pick up, remove, transport, manage, recycle or dispose of non-hazardous and hazardous waste.
2. Provide environmental field services as needed.
3. Services must cover multiple Port Authority facilities including:
- Turning Basin Terminal – Central Maintenance Facility (8308 Clinton Dr., Houston, TX 77029)
- Barbours Cut Terminal – Maintenance Facility (1819 E. Barbours Cut Blvd., La Porte, TX 77571)
- Bayport Container Terminal – Maintenance Facility (12703 Port Rd., Seabrook, TX 77586)
- Other Port Authority property locations as requested by the Environmental Affairs Department.

A detailed description of the requested services is provided in Appendix A of the solicitation documents.

Period of Performance
The contract will be for a period of two (2) years with services to be completed within seven hundred thirty (730) calendar days from the Purchase Order date.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at various locations within Harris County, Texas, specifically at the Port Authority's terminals and maintenance facilities.
