Forestry Mulching & Land/Brush Clearing Services at State Parks and Wildlife Management Areas throughout the State of Texas

Background
The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) is seeking contractors to establish blanket contracts for forestry mulching and land/brush clearing services throughout the state of Texas. The goal of this contract is to provide these services on an 'as needed' basis, ensuring availability across various regions and terrains. TPWD intends to award multiple contracts to accommodate varying project sizes and complexities.

Work Details
Contractors will provide forestry mulching and land/brush clearing services at various TPWD sites across Texas. Specific requirements include:

1) Mulched debris must be no larger than 3 inches in diameter and detached from stumps;
2) Immediate cleanup of debris on trails or roads;
3) All trees and brush less than 8 inches in diameter at breast height must be mulched unless marked as 'leave' trees;
4) Use of a forestry mulching machine capable of handling trees and brush up to 10 inches at stump level;
5) Compliance with additional specifications that may arise for future projects.

Examples of projects can be found in Attachments A and B, which detail specific service areas.

Period of Performance
The initial contract term will commence upon award and continue through August 31, 2026, with options for renewal for up to three additional one-year periods, subject to mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various Texas Parks and Wildlife sites throughout the State of Texas.
