Background
The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the selection of a Housekeeping Services provider. The goal is to secure best value housekeeping services for their Administrative, Research, and Education facilities located in the Houston, TX area.
MD Anderson reserves the right to award contracts based on delineation between North Campus and South Campus and may choose multiple contractors as beneficial to the institution.
Work Details
The scope of work includes comprehensive housekeeping services across various facility types including classrooms, laboratories, offices, conference rooms, study facilities, healthcare facilities, and more. Specific expectations include:
- Daily emptying and relining of trash containers.
- Regular cleaning of bio-hazard waste as instructed.
- Dusting and cleaning of surfaces including furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
- Vacuuming carpets and spot cleaning as necessary.
- Wet mopping hard surface floors with appropriate cleaning solutions.
- Detailed cleaning of restrooms including replenishing consumables and disinfecting surfaces.
- Special attention to high-touch areas in healthcare settings following CDC guidelines.
- Compliance with specific cleaning standards outlined for different facility types (e.g., Level 1 to Level 3 expectations).
Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and will include provisions for ongoing services with specific schedules outlined for day and night shifts as well as weekend coverage.
General cleaning services are expected to be performed Monday through Sunday during specified hours.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations within the MD Anderson Cancer Center's North Campus and South Campus in Houston, TX.
