Derelict Cabin Removal on Bastrop Bay/Lost Lake in Brazoria County, Texas

Background
The Texas General Land Office (“GLO”) seeks a highly skilled contractor for demolition, removal and disposal of a derelict cabin in Brazoria County, Texas (the “Project”). The GLO will consider proposals from business entities that demonstrate the ability to complete the Project within the guidelines of this Solicitation, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations and in accordance with terms and conditions outlined in the Sample Contract attached hereto as Exhibit B.

Work Details
The Project consists of the demolition, removal and disposal of a derelict state-owned cabin and associated structures which encumbers approximately 2,071 square feet (approximately 1,036 square feet of cabin structures and approximately 1,035 square feet of piers, docks, and walkways) of coastal land. The cabin is only accessible by boat and is located on the north side of the Bastrop bayou, downstream of Cox Lake. The coordinates of this location are (29.089386, -95.222365). The water depth is approximately 1.5' HWM beneath the cabin proper and approximately 1.5' HWM at the end of the pier.
Special work procedures are required to address protection of the sensitive coastal environment, including wildlife inhabiting the Project area.
Respondent shall be responsible for having full and complete knowledge of the conditions of the Project site.

Period of Performance
The Contract is effective on the date of the last signature, anticipated August 30, 2024. The Contractor must complete the Project within sixty (60) days after the Notice to Proceed is issued. The GLO may extend any contract awarded pursuant to this Solicitation at its own discretion.
