Connally Unit: Replace Plumbing & Controls - 3, 4, 7, 10, & 11 Bldgs

Background
The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) is inviting bids to Replace Plumbing and Controls – 3, 4, 7, 10, & 11 Bldgs. The project aims to replace plumbing and add electronic water controls to multiple buildings. The existing system is not in compliance with the current energy efficiency codes and standards.

Work Details
The project involves replacing plumbing and adding electronic water controls to multiple buildings. The contractor must provide evidence demonstrating their qualification to perform the specified work, including a minimum of three projects completed within the last ten years of similar work, size, and complexity. Additionally, contractors are required to submit a HUB Subcontracting Plan as detailed in Exhibit 1.
Bid documents can be purchased from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice at a cost of $60.00 per set. A Pre-bid Conference will be held at the Connally Unit, followed by a site visit. Bids will be publicly opened and read at a specified location on May 2, 2024.

Period of Performance
The performance period will begin upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed at the Pre-Construction Meeting.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the Connally Unit located at 899 FM 632 Kenedy, Texas 78119.
