Citywide Vending Machine Services

Background
The City of Austin is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide citywide vending machine services for all City departments. The goal of this contract is to establish a comprehensive and sustainable vending service program that enhances convenience for employees and visitors while promoting a healthy environment. The contract is designed to be revenue neutral, ensuring that the City does not incur financial losses while providing these services.

Work Details
The successful contractor will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and operation of vending machines and markets across designated City locations. Key responsibilities include:

1. Installation of vending machines as listed in Attachment A (Vending Machine Locations).
2. Maintenance and inventory control, with inspections at least once every five business days for the first 60 days to establish sales volume.
3. Providing a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) available 24/7 for all service-related issues.
4. Responding to customer service inquiries within five business days.
5. Submitting service schedules within 90 days after contract award, subject to approval by the Department's Point of Contact (POC).
6. Ensuring compliance with all health regulations regarding food storage and handling.
7. Providing wireless connectivity for credit card-enabled machines at no additional charge when requested by the City.
8. Establishing a reimbursement refund bank at each site for patrons who lose funds in machines.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract is twelve months, with the possibility of four additional twelve-month extensions at the City's discretion.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various designated locations throughout the City of Austin.
