Capital Of Texas Expressway (CAPEX) Water Quality Control

Background
The Capital of Texas Expressway (CAPEX) Water Quality Control project is initiated by the City of Austin in coordination with the Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT).

The primary mission is to design and construct a stormwater control measure (SCM) that effectively treats runoff from the CAPEX I35 Expansion project. This initiative aims to enhance environmental quality while providing recreational, ecological, and educational benefits to the community.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for designing and constructing a wetpond as part of the stormwater control measure.

This includes improvements to existing trails and integration of features that provide recreational, ecological, and educational value. Specific tasks may involve site assessment, hydrological modeling, wetland planting, trail enhancements, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
