Per TGC 2269 and 437.054, The Texas Military Department(TMD) is seeking competitive sealed proposals from General Contractors toreplace the roof at the Camp Mabry facility in Austin, Texas. Work includes aroof replacement to mitigate life safety and code-related deficiencies. Thetotal estimated cost of this project is $1,900,000.00. The Request for Proposal(RFP) solicitation documents are on www.txsmartbuy.com/esbd the ElectronicState Business Daily (ESBD) website. General Contractors must request via thegroup email FY25CSMSRoofReplacement@cfmo.mil.texas.gov the Drawings/Plans andSpecifications electronically in digital format. Vendors MUST attend one (1) ofthe two (2) MANDATORY site visits at 10:00 AM CT Tuesday, April 22, 2025, OR10:00 AM CT, Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 2200 West 35th Street, Building 92(Main Entrance) Austin, TX 78703. Failure to attend one of the two site visitswill result in disqualification of the response. Competitive Sealed Proposalsfor TMD25-CFMO-0038992 Camp Mabry CSMS Roof Replacement will be received by theTMD until 10:00 AM CT, Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Camp Mabry, building 37,Austin, Texas 78703.


Background
The Texas Military Department (TMD) is seeking competitive sealed proposals from General Contractors for the replacement of the roof at the Camp Mabry facility in Austin, Texas. This project aims to mitigate life safety and code-related deficiencies. The estimated cost for this project is $1,900,000.00.

Work Details
The work includes:
1) Removal of the existing gravel surface built-up roof assembly;
2) Repair of the metal deck;
3) Installation of a new two-ply modified bitumen roof;
4) Coating of existing trapezoidal roof panels and associated repairs.

The project specifications and drawings are prepared by Halff Associates Inc. and TMD, detailed in Attachments G and H.

Period of Performance
Construction is required to commence on the date specified in the Notice to Proceed issued by TMD, which will be within 90 days of contract award. The approximate project completion date is May 2026.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at Camp Mabry, located at 2200 West 35th Street, Austin, Texas 78703.
