Bryan Readiness Center Emergency Generator

Background
The Texas Military Department (TMD) is seeking competitive sealed proposals from General Contractors to install a new 100 kW natural gas generator at Bryan Readiness Center (RC) as per TGC 2269 and 437.054. The total estimated cost of this project is $250,000.00. General contractors must request the Drawings/Plans and Specifications electronically in digital format via email. Attendance at one of the two MANDATORY site visits is required, failure to attend will result in disqualification of the response.

Work Details
The work includes installing a new 100 kW natural gas generator at Bryan Readiness Center along with modifications to existing power systems to accommodate the addition of the generator, including a new Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS), a branched gas line from existing gas line and regulator to feed the generator, structural work required to install a fenced concrete pad for the generator, and site civil work required for grading and utilities (underground electrical wiring and conduit and natural gas piping). The scope is more fully described in the Attachment G – Project Specifications, and Attachment H – Project Drawings/Plans.

Period of Performance
Construction is required to commence on the date specified in the Notice to Proceed issued. The TMD will issue a Notice to Proceed within 90 days of the contract award, stating the date(s) for beginning Work and achieving Substantial Completion of the Work as defined per the UGC Article 1.44. The Contract Period is the number of days issued by the TMD in the Notice to Proceed.

The project will be performed at Bryan Readiness Center located at 1700 East 25th Street, Bryan, Texas 77802.
