Boggy Creek Lift Station Force Main Extension

Background
The City of Austin, through its Austin Water and Public Works Department, is issuing a contract for the Boggy Creek Lift Station Force Main Extension project. This project aims to enhance the wastewater infrastructure by replacing and extending the existing forcemain to improve service delivery and environmental safety.

Work Details
The contract involves the installation of approximately 9,400 linear feet (LF) of 36-inch diameter High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) wastewater forcemain downstream of the Boggy Creek Lift Station. Key components of the project include:
- Replacement of a portion of the existing forcemain.
- Extension to a new discharge location on the Govalle tunnel.
- Installation of 1,600 LF of horizontal directional drilling under the Colorado River.
- Construction of a vortex dropshaft.
- Connection to an existing tunnel shaft.
- Cleaning of the wetwell at Boggy Creek Lift Station.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract will be determined upon award but is expected to span several months, depending on project complexity and weather conditions.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in Austin, Texas, specifically in areas surrounding Boggy Creek Lift Station, east of Highway 183 near Linger Lane, Hergotz Lane, Thompson Lane, and Patton Lane.
