As Needed High/Low Electrical Maintenance Services Austin State Supported Living Center

Background
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking competitive bids to establish contracts for High/Low voltage electrical maintenance services at the Austin State Supported Living Center (AuSSLC).

The HHSC oversees the planning and delivery of health and human services in Texas. This contract aims to ensure reliable electrical maintenance for the facility.

Work Details
The contractor will provide electrical maintenance labor for repair/replacement of all related services on an as-needed basis. This includes comprehensive electrical evaluations, work on existing plants and new construction, locating buried lines, tracing/testing circuits, and replacing transformers as needed.

The contractor must handle electrical systems ranging from 24V to 1200kV, work on high voltage power lines/transformers, own or have access to bucket trucks for high line services, and ensure supplies can be obtained within 24 hours. Compliance with OSHA safety standards is mandatory.

The contractor must employ a Responsible Master Electrician licensed in Texas and maintain a workforce of at least three licensed Journeyman Electricians and three registered Apprentice Electricians. All work must be supervised by a Journeyman Electrician on-site. The contractor is responsible for obtaining approval for estimates before commencing work, ensuring all work is logged accurately, and cleaning up after service completion.

Period of Performance
The anticipated contract start date is upon award, with services to be performed Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Central Time. Emergency services must be responded to within one hour of notification.

Place of Performance
Services will primarily be performed at the Austin State Supported Living Center located at 2203 W. 35th Street, Austin, TX 78703.
