Background
The City of Port Arthur, Texas, is seeking bids for an annual contract for utility cut repairs for concrete slabs at various locations throughout the city. This contract aims to maintain and repair concrete infrastructure as part of the city's public works initiatives.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. **Demolition:** Remove backfill material to a depth of six inches for four-inch slabs and eight inches for six-inch slabs. Saw-cut patched areas to straight edges and avoid damaging existing concrete. Daily debris removal is required.

2. **Construction:** Provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for repairs according to the City of Port Arthur Standard Detail Sheets. Notify residents before construction begins. All repairs must comply with the 2012 Texas Accessibility Standards.

3. **Concrete Specifications:** Use concrete with a compressive strength of 3600 psi; mix design must be provided by the supplier upon contract award.

4. **Traffic Management:** Ensure all patches are open to traffic within 12 hours after pouring concrete.

5. **Inspections:** Forms and steel reinforcements must be inspected by Public Works personnel prior to placing concrete. Repairs must commence within 48 hours of notification, with barricades in place during non-working hours.

6. **Repair Locations:** The city will provide a list of repair locations, aiming for a minimum of four sites unless otherwise specified, excluding TxDOT roads. The pricing includes complete repair services such as saw-cutting, excavation, reinforcement, concrete pouring, and barricading.

Period of Performance
The contract period will be one year with an option to renew for two additional one-year terms.
