Accounts Payable Recovery Audit RFP

Background
The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center (MD Anderson) seeks to engage accounts payable audit services, as part of its Internal Audit department, to assist MD Anderson with independent, objective assurance services.

Work Details
MD Anderson is seeking accounts payable recovery audit services. The audit should include analysis and evaluation of financial data to verify that all negotiated vendor funding is received correctly as well as to identify recoverable costs including, but not limited to, duplicate payments, overpayments, supplier credits, incentives, discounts, rebates, allowances, and payment timing errors. The institution processes approximately 30,000 invoices monthly. Specific requirements include conducting the recovery audits under the direction of MD Anderson's Vice President and Chief Audit Officer or designee, directing and supervising the day-to-day supplier performance of the audit procedures, reporting on results and conclusions in mutually agreed upon formats, performing the services in accordance with the timeframe mutually agreed upon by both parties prior to August 15, 2024, and communicating any illegal act, material errors or evidence that fraud may be identified during the course of internal audit projects.

Period of Performance
The services are to be performed in accordance with the timeframe mutually agreed upon by both parties prior to August 15, 2024.
