Port Royal State Historic Park Trail of Tears Site Plan

Background
The State of Tennessee, through its Tennessee State Parks division, is issuing this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to solicit responses for the development of a site plan for the Port Royal State Historic Park Trail of Tears. This initiative is funded by the National Park Service and aims to enhance visitor experiences along the Great Western Road segment of the Trail of Tears.

The project includes creating engineered construction drawings for a parking lot, an interpretive trailhead, a 0.2-mile hardscape interpretive trail, and necessary landscape design. The estimated budget for this project is $60,000.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for:
1. Creating engineered construction drawings that facilitate the construction of visitor experience enhancements at Port Royal State Historic Park.
2. Designing a parking lot and an interpretive trailhead.
3. Developing a 0.2-mile hardscape interpretive trail that aligns with the conceptual plan developed by the National Park Service.
4. Providing necessary landscape design to complement the constructed features.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a specified period as outlined in the RFQ schedule, with key dates including response deadlines and contract signing deadlines occurring between April and May 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Port Royal State Historic Park located in Montgomery County, Tennessee.

Bidder Requirements
Respondents must demonstrate qualifications including but not limited to: proper licensing to render services as required; proof of insurance coverage; registration with the Department of Revenue for sales tax collection; and adherence to nondiscrimination requirements as outlined in the RFQ.
