ITB 24-034-SDQ Avon Park Estates Roadway Improvements Highlands County Project No. 23009

Background
The Highlands County Board of County Commissioners (HCBCC) is seeking a contractor for the Avon Park Estates Roadway Improvements project, designated as Project No. 23009.

The mission of HCBCC is to enhance the quality of life for residents through effective governance and infrastructure development. This contract aims to improve roadway conditions and safety in Highlands County.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all necessary materials, equipment, and labor to install additional shell rock base (as necessary) and asphalt overlay on the existing two lanes of S Cole Avenue, W Snell Road, and W Reed Road from S Landry Road to S Cole Avenue.

The scope of work includes:
- Temporary traffic control
- Removal and replacement of traffic control devices
- Regrading of existing roadside swales
- Relocation of existing mailboxes
- Installation of drainage structures
- Installation of sod within the right-of-way.

Period of Performance
The contract period will be defined in the Bid Form, with specific dates for substantial completion and final completion established upon award.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in Highlands County, specifically along S Cole Avenue, W Snell Road, and W Reed Road.
