USC Aiken Pacer Crossing Roof Replacement

Background
The University of South Carolina Aiken is seeking to replace the existing roof at the Pacer Crossing facility located at 961 Leadership Drive, Aiken, SC 29801. The project aims to enhance the building's integrity and ensure compliance with current building codes. This contract is part of a broader initiative to maintain and improve campus facilities.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:

1. Removal and replacement of the existing composite shingle roof system, including underlayment.

2. Installation of blown-in R-19 insulation in attic areas over existing batt insulation, resetting gaps and missing areas (300 SF total).

3. KEE roof overlay with a 1/2" coverboard on the low roof area.

4. Additional tear-off and shingle replacement with SBS underlayment (per 100 SF).

5. Replacement of exterior OSB sheathing, 5/8" x 4'x8' per sheet.

6. The total area of work is approximately 27,000 SF.

Period of Performance
The work is expected to commence upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed and must be substantially completed within 90 calendar days.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the University of South Carolina Aiken campus, specifically at Pacer Crossing.
