Upstate Tennis Court Demolition

Background
The University of South Carolina Upstate is issuing a contract for the demolition of existing tennis courts located in Spartanburg County, South Carolina. The goal of this contract is to provide labor and materials necessary for the complete removal of the tennis courts, ensuring compliance with local regulations and environmental standards.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. Demolition of existing tennis court asphalt and base, which includes milling and removal.

2. Coordination with the owner regarding disposal areas and procedures on campus.

3. Light grading of the disturbed area (approximately ±1.7 acres).

4. Implementation of sediment and erosion control measures, including silt fencing and temporary stabilization of disturbed areas.

5. Protection of existing trees, grassed ditches, concrete sidewalks, light poles, and other appurtenances that are to remain during construction.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon award and must be completed by April 10, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will take place at the University of South Carolina Upstate campus located at 800 University Way, Spartanburg, SC 29303.

Bidder Requirements
