Town of Fort Mill Irrigation Installation at Walter Elisha Park Project RFP 500-139

Background
The Town of Fort Mill Public Works Department is seeking quotes for the installation of an irrigation system at Walter Elisha Park, located at 345 North White Street, Fort Mill, SC 29715. The goal of this project is to enhance the park's landscaping and ensure proper irrigation for the newly installed sod.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Spray the entire area with Roundup one week prior to starting work to remove old grass, haul away debris, and prep and grade the area for sod installation.
- Supply and install an irrigation system within the sidewalk area from the front of the theater back to an existing concrete slab, covering approximately 22,500 square feet.
- Supply and install approximately 22,500 square feet of 419 Bermuda sod.
- The Town will provide a 1-inch meter and one 110 outlet to power the controller.
- Work must commence on May 5th and be completed within two weeks.
- The Town will also provide the irrigation backflow device.

Period of Performance
Work must start on May 5th, 2025, and all work must be completed within two weeks.

The contract will be performed at Walter Elisha Park, located at 345 North White Street, Fort Mill, SC 29715.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must maintain general automobile liability insurance of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $1,000,000 in aggregate for all vehicles used in service provision. General liability insurance must also be maintained at $1,000,000 per incident/occurrence during the policy period. Workers' Compensation Insurance is required for all employees. Additionally, bidders must possess or obtain a Town of Fort Mill business license prior to contract execution.
