Town of Fort Mill Fire Department Station 1 Bay Door Replacement Project RFP 500-136

Background
The Town of Fort Mill Fire Department is seeking proposals for the removal and replacement of bay doors at Fire Station 1, located at 121 Tom Hall Street, Fort Mill, SC 29715.
The project aims to enhance the functionality and security of the fire station by upgrading its door systems.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Removal and disposal of current doors and operators.
- Coordination with Fire Department Management to maintain station security during the removal and replacement process.
- Installation of 8 Clopay Series 904 Full View Aluminum Section Doors, which include:
- White in color
- Aluminum bottom sections with full view glass above
- 1/8” tempered glass
- 3” RA
- 72” high lift track
- Solid shaft capable of withstanding a wind load of up to 90 MPH.
- Ensuring that doors operate within proper limits upon installation.
- Installation of door operators designed specifically for the installed doors.
- Arrangement and execution of any necessary electrical work for door operators, operation switches, safety eyes, and main control station.
- Arrangement and execution of any required door opening jamb & header work.
- Obtaining necessary licenses and/or permits from the Town of Fort Mill to conduct the work.
- Providing warranty information and optional extended warranty details.
- Including pricing for bi-annual preventative maintenance during the first year after installation.

Period of Performance
All work must be completed by September 15, 2025.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at Fire Station 1, located at 121 Tom Hall Street, Fort Mill, SC 29715.

Bidder Requirements
The successful contractor must possess or obtain a Town of Fort Mill business license prior to contract execution and maintain it throughout the contract duration.
Additionally, contractors must provide general automobile liability insurance ($1 million per occurrence), general liability insurance ($1 million per incident), and worker’s compensation insurance for all employees.
