Tennis Courts at Stables Park

Background
Georgetown County, South Carolina is soliciting bids for the conversion of existing tennis courts at Stables Park. The project aims to enhance recreational facilities by converting four existing asphalt tennis courts to clay courts and adding two new clay courts. This initiative aligns with the county's mission to improve community amenities and promote active lifestyles.

Work Details
The project includes the following scope of work:

1. Conversion of four (4) existing asphalt tennis courts to clay courts.
2. Addition of two (2) new clay courts at Stables Park in Pawleys Island, SC.
3. Installation of lighting for the new clay courts and upgrades to all existing courts with LED fixtures to meet USTA standards.
4. Construction of sidewalks, utilities, grading, drainage, signage, fencing, landscaping, and irrigation systems.
5. Bids should include a Base Bid for completion of six (6) clay courts along with lighting and fencing, grading, drainage, utilities, pedestrian walkways, court signage, and irrigation.
6. An Add/Alternate option for one (1) additional championship clay court with lighting and fencing.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence upon award and will continue until all work is completed satisfactorily as per the contract specifications.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Stables Park located at 302 Gilman Rd, Pawleys Island, SC 29585.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a Bid Bond equal to 5% of the total bid amount as a guarantee for contract execution within 15 days after award notification. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond are also required from a surety company qualified in South Carolina for 100% of the contract amount within 15 days post-award. Bidders must comply with all local codes and obtain necessary permits/licenses.
