Sumter Student Union Replace RTU-2 & Upgrade HVAC

Background
The University of South Carolina is issuing a contract for the replacement of the RTU-2 and upgrade of HVAC systems at the Student Union located at 200 Miller Road, Sumter, SC 29150.
The project aims to enhance the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning capabilities of the facility, ensuring a comfortable environment for students and staff.
The estimated construction cost ranges from $300,000 to $350,000.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the removal of an existing air handling unit along with hot and chilled water piping.
The scope includes the installation of a rooftop package heat pump, which encompasses electrical connections, new ceiling diffusers, ceiling systems, gypsum wall patching, floor patching, structural support for roofing, and roofing itself.
All work must comply with the specifications detailed in the project documents.

Period of Performance
The work is expected to commence upon receipt of a Notice to Proceed issued by the Owner and must be substantially completed within 145 calendar days from that date.
