Health Care Professionals at RI Department of Correction

Background
The Rhode Island Department of Corrections (RIDOC) is seeking qualified firms, organizations, and independent contractors to provide on-site health care professional services exclusively for the RIDOC. The solicitation is issued in accordance with the State's General Conditions of Purchase.

Work Details
The services required include on-site consultant physicians, advanced practice providers, and services for inmate patients within all RIDOC facilities. This includes various medical examinations, sick call clinics, and consultations with RIDOC medical staff.
Additionally, radiology services are required to be available five days per week, Monday through Friday between 8:30 AM and 4:45 PM, with the ability to provide weekend service if needed. The selected vendor(s) must provide appropriately licensed professional staff to perform the requested services on an as-needed basis.
Security requirements include background checks for employees working at the Department of Corrections and adherence to rigid security rules. Vendors must also comply with privacy requirements as identified by HIPAA and other federal and state confidentiality regulations.

Period of Performance
The initial contract period will begin approximately on February 13, 2024, and run through February 28, 2027. This is a continuous recruitment solicitation, allowing service providers to be added to the qualified vendor list any time prior to February 28, 2027. Offerors must present a price for each of the contract years starting from February 13, 2024.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at various facilities of the Rhode Island Department of Corrections.
