DEM Freshwater Boat Ramp Design

Background
The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM) is seeking qualified vendors to provide design services for the replacement of boat ramps and associated site work at three facilities: Wakefield Pond, Slatersville Reservoir, and Curran Upper Reservoir.

The goal of this contract is to enhance water access and improve user experience at these locations.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1. Replacement of existing boat ramp planks.
2. Addition of a concrete abutment and floating dock.
3. Minor improvements to existing parking areas, which may include replacing or installing guardrails and implementing stormwater improvements.
4. Ensuring ADA-compliant parking, access, and boat launch elements.
5. Installation of boat wash stations.

Period of Performance
The initial contract period will commence approximately on February 1, 2025, for a duration of 12 months, with the possibility of renewal for an additional 12-month period based on vendor performance and availability of funds.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at three facilities located in Rhode Island: Wakefield Pond, Slatersville Reservoir, and Curran Upper Reservoir.
