The existing mechanical room which is over 20 years old has inefficient and obsolete equipment that requires replacement. The projects consist of but is not limited to removal and replacement of gas fired hot water tanks and boilers with high efficiency gas fired condensing units, removal of existing DHW storage tank and related equipment, replacement of existing domestic water heater, DDC controls, etc. as indicated in the contract documents. Background
The Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) Liston Campus is seeking a vendor to upgrade and renovate the Boiler Room 1180. The existing mechanical room has outdated and inefficient equipment that is over 20 years old, necessitating replacement to improve efficiency and functionality.

Work Details
The project includes the removal and replacement of gas-fired hot water tanks and boilers with high-efficiency gas-fired condensing units. Additionally, it involves the removal of the existing domestic hot water (DHW) storage tank and related equipment, replacement of the existing domestic water heater, installation of direct digital controls (DDC), and other related tasks as specified in the contract documents.

The scope also includes allowances for unknown concealed code violations that may require corrective action, estimated at $50,000. Liquidated damages are set at $500 per day for delays beyond the completion date.

The contract period will commence on February 13, 2025, and is expected to conclude by March 28, 2025.
