Bridge Repairs - Bridge No. 080001 and 083901

Background
The Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority (RITBA) is issuing Contract No. 24-06 for bridge repairs on the Jamestown – Verrazzano Bridge No. 080001 and the Fishing Pier Access Road Bridge No. 083901.

The goal of this contract is to perform necessary repairs to ensure the structural integrity and safety of these bridges, which are vital for transportation in the region.

Work Details
The work to be performed under this contract includes:
- Replacement of existing expansion joints on the Jamestown – Verrazzano Bridge No. 080001 with heavy-duty polymer expansion joints.
- For the Fishing Pier Access Road Bridge No. 083901, the following tasks are required:
- Construction of deck slab over backwall details at the abutments.
- Replacement of bridge deck joints.
- Steel beam repairs.
- Cleaning and painting ends of all beams and selected other areas.

Period of Performance
The contractor is expected to begin work within three calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed and complete all work within 18 months from the selected start date.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at two locations in North Kingstown, Rhode Island: Jamestown – Verrazzano Bridge No. 080001 and Fishing Pier Access Road Bridge No. 083901.
