Troop R - Blooming Grove Station - Janitorial Serv

Background
The Pennsylvania State Police is issuing this Invitation for Bids (IFB) to procure janitorial services for Troop R - Blooming Grove Station.
The goal of this contract is to ensure a clean and safe environment for the personnel at the station, which aligns with the agency's mission to maintain public safety and order.

Work Details
The contractor will provide janitorial services three days per week, which includes:
- Signing in and out all workers in the station logbook each visit.
- Following and signing a job log sheet.
- Adhering to flooring manufacturer’s maintenance recommendations, particularly for rubber mat flooring in fitness rooms that do not require waxing.
- Compliance with Pennsylvania Act 1984-159 regarding chemicals used or stored in the workplace.

Specific tasks include:
- Emptying and cleaning waste baskets, replacing liners (provided by vendor).
- Damp mopping or dust mopping tile floors as per directions.
- Cleaning sinks and lavatories with liquid detergent, paying special attention to fixtures.
- Cleaning tiled or fiberglass showers according to manufacturer’s directions.
- Cleaning commodes and urinals with disinfectant.
- Refilling towel, toilet tissue, and liquid soap dispensers with supplies furnished by the Commonwealth.
- Vacuuming carpeted areas and spot cleaning stains as necessary.

Additional tasks are scheduled weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and semi-annually including general house cleaning, vacuuming under desks, washing concrete floors during specific months, and maintaining VCT floors according to manufacturer’s directions.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon issuance of a valid purchase order and will include four one-year optional renewals.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the Pennsylvania State Police Troop R - Blooming Grove Station located at 434 Route 402, Hawley PA 18428.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be certified as a Small Business through the Department of General Services’ self-certification process at the time of bid opening.
Additionally, all vendor staff members performing janitorial services must undergo a federal fingerprint background check before entering the facility.
