Background
The Pennsylvania Game Commission, Bureau of Wildlife Habitat Management, Forestry Division, is issuing this solicitation for the installation of woven wire deer enclosure fences as part of their mission to manage wildlife habitats effectively. The goal of this contract is to provide a protective barrier against deer in designated state game lands, thereby supporting conservation efforts and enhancing habitat management.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the installation of approximately 49,312 linear feet of woven wire deer exclosure fence across several blocks of State Game Lands located in Clinton and Tioga counties. The scope includes furnishing all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for the installation according to the provided specifications. Specific tasks include:

1. Clearing and leveling a maintenance path at least six feet wide for fence installation.
2. Erecting a seven-foot high fence using fixed knot woven wire design made from galvanized steel or equivalent materials.
3. Installing posts (4"x4" treated square posts or equivalent) at specified intervals and securing the fence properly to prevent deer from crawling underneath.
4. Constructing gates as specified, including walk-through gates and truck gates.
5. Conducting a deer drive to ensure no deer are enclosed within the fenced area prior to closing the fence.

Period of Performance
The contract term will commence on July 1, 2025, and terminate on June 30, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed on State Game Lands located in Clinton County (Colebrook Township) and Tioga County (Clymer & Gaines Township), Pennsylvania.
