US101/OR540 ADA Curb Ramps (Coos Bay/North Bend), Phase 2

Background
The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from entities interested in submitting Design-Build Proposals for the US101/OR540 ADA Curb Ramps (Coos Bay/North Bend), Phase 2 Project. This initiative aims to remediate curb ramps throughout ODOT Region 3, addressing accessibility barriers for individuals with disabilities as mandated by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

The project is part of ODOT's ongoing efforts to comply with a settlement agreement aimed at improving accessibility on state highways. It involves remediating approximately 378 Settlement Ramps and 538 'As-Constructed' Curb Ramps over a span of approximately 7 miles in Coos Bay and North Bend, with an estimated contract price between $20 million and $27 million.

Work Details
The Design-Builder will be responsible for planning, designing, constructing, managing, and controlling the Project to ensure completion on or ahead of schedule. Key responsibilities include:
1. Design and remediation of all Inventory Ramps.
2. Construction Services including construction management.
3. Coordination with identified Interested Parties as directed by ODOT.
4. Quality Management for both design and construction phases.
5. Environmental permitting and compliance monitoring.
6. Risk management strategies.
7. Maintenance and protection of traffic and access to properties during construction.
8. Implementation of EEO, DBE, and apprenticeship programs as applicable.

Period of Performance
All Inventory Ramps must be fully completed by November 2027.

Place of Performance
The project will take place in the cities of Coos Bay and North Bend within ODOT Region 3.
