Strategic Planning Consultation

Background
The Ohio Commission on Minority Health (MIH) was established in 1987 as the first state agency in the nation dedicated to addressing health disparities among minority populations in Ohio. This initiative arose from a report by the Governor's Task Force on Black and Minority Health, which highlighted significant health status disparities between minority and majority populations.

The MIH aims to eliminate these disparities through innovative strategies, public health promotion, and legislative action. The current contract seeks to update the existing five-year strategic plan (2020-2025) to create a new plan for 2026-2030, incorporating input from board and staff.

Work Details
The selected supplier will provide strategic planning consultation services, including:
- Conducting up to 9 hours of planning phone calls/meetings with MIH Director/Staff and additional calls with the Communications Committee.
- Adhering to the existing framework of the National Partnership for Action to Achieve Health Equity while considering progress on the current strategic plan.
- Facilitating 3 hours of in-person strategic planning sessions during scheduled board meetings on January 17, 2025, and May 16, 2025.
- Conducting up to 4 hours of final feedback sessions with Director and Staff as well as the Communications Committee on February 12, 2025.
- Refining the strategic plan document based on feedback and completing a final draft by mid-June 2025.
- Presenting the final draft of the strategic plan at the July 18, 2025 board meeting.
- Submitting monthly invoices for payment not exceeding a total of 20 hours of work.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence on December 20, 2025, following administrative approval, and will conclude on July 31, 2026.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed primarily in Ohio, with specific in-person meetings scheduled at locations determined by MIH.
