Background
The Ohio Army National Guard (OHARNG) is committed to environmental stewardship and compliance with all relevant environmental legislation and regulations. The Environmental Procedures outlined in this solicitation provide comprehensive guidelines for contractors to follow in order to achieve these goals.

Work Details
The contractor is required to develop an Environmental Work Plan that details how work will be performed in compliance with applicable environmental requirements. Key components include:

1. **Environmental Compliance**: Contractors must comply with local, state, and federal environmental regulations, including waste management, hazardous materials handling, spill prevention, and protection of natural resources.

2. **Erosion Control**: Implement measures to prevent soil erosion using silt fences and other methods as per Ohio EPA guidelines. Temporary seeding is required if the site is left idle.

3. **Storm Water Management**: Obtain necessary permits for storm water discharges associated with construction activities and develop a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWP3).

4. **Waste Management**: Characterize all waste generated, label and store it properly, and complete necessary documentation for disposal. Recycling is encouraged where feasible.

5. **Asbestos Management**: Identify asbestos-containing materials before any disturbance and manage them according to applicable regulations.
