Request for Proposals for Management of Civic Center Event Hall

Background
The City of North Canton, Ohio, is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide management and administrative services for the operation of the Civic Center Event Hall. The goal is to enhance the facility as a community asset while ensuring affordable access for residents and visitors. The selected firm will be responsible for the full management of the Civic Center Facility for a minimum period of three years, starting January 1, 2025.

Work Details
The contract includes the following services:
- General event management including setting hours of operation, pricing and fees, staffing levels, and daily operations oversight.
- Development and implementation of a facility capital improvements plan.
- Hiring, firing, and management of event staff.
- Maintenance of accurate financial records with monthly and annual reporting to the City.
- Operation of a 4,000-square-foot ballroom with a prep kitchen and two smaller event spaces on 7 acres.
- Management of bookings for events through the City’s online reservation portal.
- Coordination of set-up, tear-down, and cleaning for events.
- Ensuring no disruption to scheduled City events or public library programming.
- Providing access for a farmer’s market at reduced rates or no charge.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on January 1, 2025, with a minimum duration of three years.
