Muddy Creek WWTP Window Replacement & Asbestos Removal

Background
The Muddy Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) is undertaking a project to replace windows and remove asbestos from the Administration and Maintenance Building. This initiative is part of the Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati's efforts to maintain and improve facility infrastructure.

The goal of this contract is to ensure the safe removal of existing windows, including any associated asbestos, and to install new windows that meet specified standards.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Remove and dispose of existing windows, including window caulk and glazing.
2. Furnish and install new windows that comply with project specifications.
3. Conduct asbestos abatement or removal as necessary, including obtaining required permits for the work associated with window removal, disposal, opening preparation, and installation.
4. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and submit a site-specific safety plan for review by the MSD Safety Section.
5. Maintain a weathertight condition of the existing building throughout the construction period and repair any damage caused during construction activities.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall start work within five (5) calendar days from receipt of a written notice to begin work and must complete all on-site work within one hundred eighty (180) calendar days from that notice.

Place of Performance
All work will take place at the Muddy Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 6125 River Road, Cincinnati, OH 45233.
