Mt. Airy Water Tower Feasibility Study

Background
The City of Cincinnati, through the Greater Cincinnati Water Works (GCWW) and the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED), is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for professional services to conduct a feasibility study for the reuse of the Mt. Airy Water Tower site. This initiative aims to leverage a multimillion-dollar investment in rehabilitating the historic water towers, enhancing the neighborhood gateway, and benefiting the community while ensuring compliance with historic preservation requirements.

Work Details
The selected contractor will provide planning and design services to develop commercially viable redevelopment alternatives for the Mt. Airy Water Tower site located at 2643 W North Bend Road, Cincinnati, Ohio. The scope of services includes:

- Conducting community engagement and outreach;
- Developing a plan and design concepts including market demand data;
- Cost estimates for redevelopment;
- Alternative design scenarios that may include using up to two existing large towers;
- Developing a phasing plan and implementation strategy;
- Evaluating traffic impacts;
- Incorporating existing neighborhood plans such as Plan Cincinnati (2012), Green Cincinnati Plan (2023), and Mt. Airy Plan: Our Future (2023).

The contractor must also coordinate with GCWW and ensure proposals do not interfere with water system operations.

Period of Performance
The term of this Agreement shall commence on the effective date of the Agreement and expire six months from that date.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the Mt. Airy Water Tower site located at 2643 W North Bend Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45239.
