Mt. Airy Water Tower Feasibility Study

Background
The City of Cincinnati, through the Greater Cincinnati Water Works (GCWW) and the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED), is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) for professional services to conduct a feasibility study for the reuse of the Mt. Airy Water Tower site located at 2643 W North Bend Road, Cincinnati, Ohio.

This initiative aims to leverage a multimillion-dollar investment in rehabilitating the historic water towers to spur redevelopment in the Mt. Airy neighborhood, which is undergoing several strategic economic development projects.

Work Details
The selected contractor will provide planning and design services for a feasibility study that includes:

- Conducting community engagement to gather stakeholder feedback.
- Developing a plan and design concepts for the property.
- Analyzing market demand data for proposed new uses.
- Estimating costs for redevelopment and construction.
- Creating alternative design concepts while adhering to historic preservation requirements.
- Developing a phasing plan and implementation strategy.
- Evaluating traffic impacts and opportunities to improve pedestrian safety at the intersection of W North Bend Road and Colerain Avenue.
- Incorporating existing neighborhood plans into the master planning process.

Period of Performance
The term of this Agreement shall commence on the effective date of the Agreement and expire six (6) months from that date.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the Mt. Airy Water Tower site located at 2643 W North Bend Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45239.
