Background
The Ohio Department of Public Safety (DPS) oversees four critical data centers in central Ohio that support its mission. These facilities require high-performance maintenance for HVAC, fire detection and protection, electrical systems, and other supporting services. In 2014, Karpinski Engineering conducted a report detailing the necessary preventative maintenance levels for these data centers. DPS is now seeking a contractor to coordinate and manage a preventative maintenance and repair program for these facilities.
Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following services across the four data centers:
1. **HVAC Maintenance**: Includes maintaining CRAC units, dry coolers, glycol pumps, and ensuring proper glycol fluid maintenance. Specific equipment includes:
- CRAC Units: LIEBERT DS UNITS Model Number: DS053KDC0EI (2 units at Lancaster Post 23).
- Dry Coolers: LIEBERT Model Number: DSO491Y32 (2 units at Lancaster Post 23).
- Glycol Pumps: LIEBERT Single Pump Model Number: S3Y (2 units at Lancaster Post 23).
2. **Fire Protection Systems**: Maintenance of fire suppression systems including:
- Clean Agent Gaseous Fire Suppression System (3M NOVEC 1230).
- VESDA Smoke Detection System (XTRALIS VESDA VLP DETECTOR).
3. **Electrical Systems**: Maintenance of distribution panels and emergency power off systems.
4. **Preventative Maintenance**: Regular checks and repairs as outlined in the Karpinski report to ensure all systems operate within specified parameters.
