Direct Support Professionals (DSP) Online Training

Background
The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) is seeking to enhance the training and support for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who provide care within the Ohio developmental disabilities system.

The initiative aims to recruit, train, and retain skilled DSPs through a web-based Learning Management System (LMS) that delivers a comprehensive training curriculum. This effort aligns with DODD's mission to support individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving their version of a good life, emphasizing inclusion, partnership, and respect.

Work Details
The contractor will develop and maintain a cloud-based Learning Management System (LMS) that includes:
- A minimum of 60 hours of competency-based training for DSPs and front-line supervisors.
- Training modules covering Health and Safety, Employment, Community Integration, Planning and Supports, Assistive Technology, and Remote Support.
- Features such as 24/7 accessibility, automated tracking and reporting capabilities, certificate generation for course completion, and the ability to translate training materials into multiple languages including Spanish, Somali, and Taiwanese.
- Compliance with industry security standards for data protection.
- Regular updates to training content based on evidence-based practices.
- A mechanism for DODD to approve courses ensuring they meet accreditation standards.

Period of Performance
The contract will be executed over two state fiscal years: from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026 (SFY 2026), and from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027 (SFY 2027).

There is an option for renewal for an additional two years covering SFY 2028 (July 1, 2027 - June 30, 2028) and SFY 2029 (July 1, 2028 - June 30, 2029).

Place of Performance
The services will be performed in Ohio with the LMS accessible online to users across the state.
